INTERCELL, SNTS INVITES ADE
Live VJ Set H7 Warehouse, Amsterdam
Intercell is renowned for hosting Amsterdam based Techno events with the best of the best artists and a high-energy but minimalistic visual approach. For the saturday of Amsterdam Dance Event, I did a 10 hour VJ set for their sold out INTERCELL X SNTS INVITES show. I always draw inspiration from the artists that perform during the show, and it was bound to be one of the most dark and hard events of ADE, with headliner SNTS inviting 999999999, Airod, Alignment, Minimal Violence and Tommy Holohan. For this set I created a mostly monochrome visual package with abstract visuals, introducing new elements for every artist.
For the headliner SNTS, I drew inspiration from his music as well as his public appearance. Featuring flashes of eyes, and mixing up images from old scripts to vintage cartoons.
The visuals are mapped on a long U-shaped stroke of LED-panels, as seen on the photos below. Some of the sets are also up on YouTube, as the entire event is captured by Arthaphine.
